The main goal at Purl & Peach is to provide good quality yarns at competitive prices to the local area and beyond.
Allowing customers to experience the tactile nature of choosing yarn for a project (aka Squishing), assisting with pattern selection and even providing ‘learn to knit or crochet’ sessions for those looking to embark on a new yarnie hobby!
I was taught to knit as a child by my Nana Peach which is where the name of Purl & Peach originates. Nana Peach was a prolific knitter and we all enjoyed the wonderful knits that she provided our family with. However, my own yarn journey began properly some 15 years ago when I decided to take up crochet and rekindled my love for all things handmade. Yarn has been an obsession of mine ever since and I am rarely found without a project stashed away in my bag!
Having been made redundant in December 2023 from a corporate role which I was becoming disillusioned with and not wanting to return to the corporate treadmill, Purl & Peach was born on 9th of February 2024.
I now have the opportunity to grow this dream of working with yarn every day and I hope I can bring you all along for the ride …
